Ceylon cinnamon sticks, also known as Ceylon cinnamon quills, can provide a delicate spice infusion to drinks and recipes. These wonderfully aromatic cinnamon sticks are yielded from Ceylon plants native to Sri Lanka - and are distinctly more nutritious and tastier than its cousin Cassia.
They are a good source of antioxidants and many other nutrients making them a fantastic ingredient for cooking authentic curries, desserts, herbal teas and even cinnamon chai latte. Use it to add a little sweetness to herbal teas.
You can add the quil to boiling water as is or grind into a powder via a mortar and pestle.
Suggested uses:
- Infuse herbal drinks
- Use to make an authentic chai latte
- Add a warm spice to authentic curries and remove the quill before serving
- Grind down and use in both sweet and savoury recipes
NOTE: Ceylon cinnamon is extracted from a plant native to Sri Lanka, so for the highest quality Ceylon cinnamon always be sure to check the country of origin
